Re: Eight police officers shot in Louisiana
Statistically, white people are more likely to be killed by a black person than a black person is likely to be killed by a police officer.

That doesn't sit well with the lefty/BLM worldview that black people are sweet innocent victims though.

When did I say that BLM "are only interested in murder stats"?

I didn't say anything remotely like that.

To be quite honest I don't give a shit what their official website says, the actions of their supporters at protests and on social media tells us all we need to know

What's that got to do with your supposition that blm are only interested in murder stats? Goal posts moved.

Hermit.

Better teachers in their schools? How skilled a teacher (or parent, which is more to the point) do you need to be to say "Don't go round shooting and stabbing each other. Stay away from drugs and gangs. Concentrate in class. Go to college amd/or get a job"?

Once again, although you mean well, you are missing the point. Outside agencies can't do a thing about black underachievement. It has to come from the community itself.

" they feel excluded from the benefits of society yet are made to pay for societies maladies"

What percentage of the people you're talking about are welfare recipients?

Hermit Road 6:36 Mon Jul 18
Re: Eight police officers shot in Louisiana
Maybe they need better teachers in their schools. Some who will challenge them to aspire rather than enable underachievement. Teachers who will push them to take advantage of rhe excellent and affordable public college system in the US.

The fact that in your view they're more scared of the incidents as rare as lightening striking them, rather than the phenomenal numbers of murders in their city, show that the narrative is warped and warping the minds of young and old alike.

Stomper, you are pushing a lie and are probably old enough to look at the evidence and do better.

All these black guys have been shot, a lot of it is on film and yet, i seems that no one has been found responsible

Wonder what the percentage of Baltimore's murder victims killed by police or white people is compared to those killed by black people?

Hermit Road 5:48 Mon Jul 18
Re: Eight police officers shot in Louisiana
Considering the murder rate in Baltimore for the last 20 years, I'm not surprised they're scared. They should be.

The Black citizens of Baltimore are scared the younger ones are scared and angry.
I'm in and out all the time for treatment or visiting my daughter, who lives there and I've never felt an atmosphere like it.

FWIW, you're statistically just as likely to be struck by lightning as you are to be shot by a policeman in America.

And white people are statistically more likely to be killed by black people than vice-versa. Shall we start up a group called White Lives Matter?

And of course the biggest elephant in the room is that the overwhelming majority of black people are killed by other black people. They're a bit quiet on that one though.

While I agree that every incident of an unarmed black bloke being beaten up or killed by a trigger happy cop is disgusting....to me, the narrative BLM push, right down to their name, is a load of bollocks.

Mashed and Hermit

I've taken a look at the blm website and it appears to me to be much more than that, despite the shooting of Travon Martin being the catalyst of its creation.

I agree that some of their (blm) grievances are valid and others I disagree with or maybe just do not understand although I'm willing to plead ignorance on those.

It also, commendably in my opinion is more than inclusive towards gay and transgender blacks (perhaps a sign they are trying to change attitudes in their own communities?), although I admit I'm taking it purely on face value.

Perhaps you should take a look, maybe you'll perceive it differently (to me), but it appears to concentrate on state violence/racism than comparing national murder statistics.

Again I've taken it on face value and don't necessarily agree on everything they stand for but I don't think they are merely what you perceive them to be.

Is that the narrative that's been built? Or do you think it might be more complex and that's a crass oversimplification?

I don't think anybody has mentioned a conspiracy by the left. Are people on the left more responsible for building the untrue narrative that says that black men are under attack from white men? I think they are. It's even got to the ridiculous point whereby the term All Lives Matter is considered racist. How fucked up is that? How divisive?

As for iRon trying to blame Christians for Christians getting killed by non-Christians, there's the working of a messed up mind for you.

Will only get worse, with easy access to high powered automatic weapons and people with a grudge = disaster.
